Getting Started or the basics

  • Your first session is focused on understanding what brings you in, what you’re hoping to change, and how we can best support you. Your therapist will ask about your background, current challenges, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace.

For couples, this typically includes exploring relationship dynamics, communication patterns, and areas of conflict or disconnection. For individuals, we focus on emotional concerns, life stressors, and personal goals. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of next steps and a plan moving forward.

  • If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same patterns in relationships or life, therapy can help. Many clients come to us for anxiety, depression, relationship stress, betrayal trauma, grief, or major transitions such as separation or divorce.

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy — many people seek support to improve communication, deepen emotional connection, or gain clarity about important decisions.
