Maggie Zofkie, LCPC
Therapist
Maggie’s therapeutic approach is characterized by patience, warmth, and compassionate confrontation. She firmly believes that clients are the experts of their own lives, while also recognizing that at times they benefit from the steady guidance of a professional to help them navigate challenges more clearly. Maggie provides a structured framework for the therapeutic journey, while empowering clients to develop self-acceptance and embrace who they truly are—without shame, apology, or pressure to be anything else.
Maggie strives to make the therapy room feel casual, comfortable, and judgment-free. That may include humor, a bit of sarcasm, and the occasional swear word—because authenticity matters. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel safe to be fully themselves and speak openly, without filtering, performing, or minimizing their experiences. She believes meaningful change happens when people feel accepted as they are, even while working toward growth.
Maggie sees her role as a therapist as that of a beacon in the darkness, guiding individuals and couples toward clarity and relief. While she acknowledges that life often includes uncertainty, pain, and difficult emotions, she remains alongside her clients—offering steadiness, support, and perspective as they navigate these moments. Clients often describe her presence as grounding and reassuring, especially during times that feel overwhelming or confusing.
Her approach includes thoughtful education, insight, and practical guidance to help clients move through challenges with greater confidence. Maggie helps clients reconnect with their strengths, recognize patterns that no longer serve them, and build resilience even in the face of life’s toughest trials. She firmly believes that when individuals strike a balance between confidence and humility, they develop the capacity to weather adversity and move forward with intention.
Witnessing clients find relief, experience personal growth, and achieve changes they once doubted were possible is one of the most meaningful and rewarding aspects of Maggie’s work.
When Maggie isn't in the therapy room helping her clients, she can be found staying active in the gym being creative with lots of different kinds of crafts and DIY projects, and reading lots of books.
